well if you are a good person and you kill someone you probably weren't ever a good person people just falsely saw you as a good person
ReplyDeleteA good person can commit a evil deed if it is not consistent. They may lose trust but it is easy to gain back. It can also go both ways as well. Trust is huge when it comes to good or bad but when it is lost they are evil.
ReplyDeleteYes, people all have different moral compasses. In different situations, stealing to a collective of people may not be as horrible of a deed to them as it is to us, therefore someone may commit an evil deed from our point of view, but to their group or collective they are still a good person.
ReplyDeleteI think that a good person can commit a evil deed and still be a good person if that person regrets what they did or if they do something to make up for it. But if that person doesn't feel regret then i don't think so
ReplyDeleteI think that a good person can commit an evil deed and still be a good person. I think this because a good or evil person isn't defined by just one action. If everyone was judged by just one action, everyone would appear evil, even if it was the only bad thing they have ever done.
ReplyDeleteIf a good person does an evil deed than they are bad parson. They can try and do good deeds to redeem themselves but they will still be a bad person.
ReplyDeleteYes, a good person can perform an evil deed and still be a good person, because even though it seems evil, the general outcome could be for the better. For example, a good person is ordered to bomb a village full of terrorists. Even though a couple good people died, making it seem evil, the world was more safe because of the loss of terrorists. In the end, yes, their are good people that are still good people, even after an evil deed.
ReplyDeleteIf you are seen to be a good person in other people's eyes and you surprisingly do something bad it depends on if you have a good reason to do the bad thing.
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe in forgiveness and grace. Even though one commits an evil deed does not mean that person is evil. It means the deed is evil. The person is only evil when executing the evil deed. Before and after the person may feel guilt which is a sign of there good side telling them what they did was wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think a good person can do an evil thing and still be good. For example stealing a car would be "evil" in the eyes of the law but that person could still be a very nice person they just did something they shouldn't have.
ReplyDeleteI believe if someone commits a crime they are still a good person. In life everyone has struggles and sometimes they are not controlled well and are let loose. But a good person is someone who knows that what they did was wrong and that the person will change. But if a person commits a crime and doesn't even feel remorse and sort of sadness for what they have done then the person is going down the wrong path. Good people commit crimes all the time.
ReplyDeleteA good person can do somthing bad and still be good again, but first they must redeem themselves, they have to make right what they did wrong, or do somthing that undoes this deed. If the deed is so bad that it can never be forgiven, he will not be thought of as good ever again, even if on the inside he regrets it.
ReplyDeleteYes, because no matter how evil the deed (for the most part), someone can redeem themselves and be a better person from then on. In my opinion, redeeming yourself/being good in your own eyes is better than redeeming yourself/being good in someone else's eyes.
ReplyDeleteIf a good person commits an evil dead they know they aren't good people because they are living with the guilt of their evil dead. To other people that don't know about what happened they could see the person as a good person. If someone were to kill someone and everyone knew about it they would be looked down on for the rest of their life.
ReplyDeleteIf a good person commits and evil deed he can chose whether to be good or evil by how he reacts to what they did. They can fix it to become good again or be evil by staying the same.
ReplyDeleteI believe a good person can commit an evil deed and still be a good person as long as evil has not fully got a hold of their heart. They have to understand that they have gone down the wrong path and have committed evil but, if they understand and are wiling to change their thought process they may become a good being once again.
ReplyDeleteWhen somebody good does a bad thing. They start to become a bad person. They can become a better person after what they did. But they still did a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI think that a good person can still be good if he/she does an evil deed because in some peoples eyes the deed may be considered evil, but in others it would be considered necessary. For example, the atomic bomb being dropped on Hiroshima is a highly controversial event, but it didn't make Truman a bad person in many people's eyes.
ReplyDeleteThey can appear as a good person...But no, they aren't good people. Their life is a lie to everyone and they can commit good deeds, but they still make choices that interfere with them being a true good person. For example: Most serial killers appeared like good people, yet they murder to feed an inner desire. So they aren't good people because of this and I believe they are worse people because they cover themselves up as friendly good people.
ReplyDeleteAny person can do an evil deed whether they have been good or not. I believe one bad thing cannot make a person, rather their actions before and after the deed. Obviously there are certain things that people do like murder and those more serious crimes make the person.
ReplyDeleteI do believe a good person can commit an evil act and still be a good person. He can commit an evil act that on the surface looks evil but still may have good meaning. If the person feels regret after committing an evil act I also feel like they can be good again.
ReplyDeleteA good person can make a mistake, even a huge mistake and still be considered a good person. But in the case of Macbeth, I do not believe that someone can be considered a good person if he commits such a terrible act of sin while obviously knowing that it was wrong. Committing a murder solely for your own greed means that he cannot really be a good person at heart.
ReplyDeleteOnce a good person commits an evil deed with a bad intention they aren't so good anymore. A good person will never try to harm someone for the wrong reason. When people cause harm because they want to hurt others that's evil.
ReplyDeleteI believe that if someone commits an evil deed that there is a way to be good again. However I also believe that the image of that person is always tarnished by the evil they committed.
ReplyDeleteA good person can commit an evil deed as long as it isn't consistent. But good can easily turn evil. But it is also possible for someone who is evil to become good again.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think it really is the reason for it and what you consider evil. If you define stealing as evil, and the culprit is a young child trying to feed his family or himself. Is that evil? Not in my mind. I also think anti-heroes, people who are heroes but for a different reason, they are still good because they end up helping others.
ReplyDeleteYes I think that they still can be a good person. I think that they must ask for forgiveness and they still need to continue to be a good person after the event. I believe that people deserve a second chance so yes I think they can still be a good person even if they carry out an evil deed.
ReplyDeleteI think that any good person can do something bad and still be a good person. People are allowed and even expected to make mistakes, but making the same mistake multiple times is a different story. I don't think that one bad deed makes someone a bad person because according to that logic, one good deed a bad person does would make them a good person.
ReplyDeleteI think a good person can commit an evil deed or act. It all depends on each scenario but as long as this "good" person does not consistently commit evil deeds then they are still a good person. You also have to remember that everyone makes mistakes and nobody is perfect.
