The people in the bar and the two security officers lives revolve around the Truman show just like Mildred revolves around her TV.
ReplyDeleteMontag and Truman both build up clues about their society that it is being censored and then they each have their breakout moments of finally going against the society.
ReplyDeleteMontag and Truman both became aware of the strange things going on in their society and they both try to find ways of getting out of it.
ReplyDeleteOne connection I am noticing between The Truman Show and F451 is that in both people revolve around their televisions.
ReplyDeleteIn both the Truman show and F451 the society is glued to their tv at all times.
ReplyDeleteThe world relies on watching the Truman Show and many people are obsessed with it. TV controls a lot of peoples lives.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that between Truman and Montag, whenever they do something out of the routine, the "eyes of the world" see it and send some type of backup. For Montag they sent in his boss, and for Truman they sent in his best friend, etc.
ReplyDeleteOne connection that I have noticed between the truman show and F451 is that they are starting to figure out what is going on in there own world. They found out that they are being controlled.
ReplyDeleteTruman and Montag both keep running into dead ends when the people in charge don't want them to find out about reality.
ReplyDeleteTruman is now running away as a wanted man just like Montag running away in F451 and everyone wanting to catch him.
ReplyDeleteGuy and Truman both are going in circles, they are not getting anywhere.
ReplyDeleteJust like Montag, Truman wants more than what his life is offering. He doesn't find satisfaction in his meaningless life anymore.
ReplyDeleteTruman is really not in love with his wife like Montag.
ReplyDeleteSimilar to F451 their society is controlled but not fake, real human interaction but extremely controlled.
ReplyDeleteTruman has escaped just like Montag in F451. The directors/government don't know where he is and neither does the audience.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that Truman and Montag are similar because they both have figured something out that they shouldn't have and now their whole world is after them.
ReplyDeleteOne connection I found between F451 and the Truman show is how society can revolve around T.V, like how people's day revolve around watching the Truman Show, and how people like Mildred love watching T.V.
ReplyDeleteI notice both towns in the Truman Show and F451 that they are controlled by a higher force which can't be stopped unless the person does something about it. Clarisse and Sylvia are very alike too
ReplyDeleteBoth characters seem to be content with life before they meet someone or an event happens that causes them to change their outlook on life.
ReplyDeleteBoth "The Truman Show" and "F451" are both centered around a perfect normal life.
ReplyDeleteEveryone around the main character seems oblivious except maybe a couple people. So for Truman that would be Silvia and for Guy that would be Faber
ReplyDeleteBoth Truman and Guy Montag have begun to question their entire setting and location. They are suspicious of everyone around them and cannot quite figure out what is going on.
ReplyDeletePeople around him act ike nothing is weird or different
ReplyDeleteOne connection between F 451 and the Truman Show is that everything about life seems fake to Truman and Montag. They catch on to it and there has been one key influence to make them think this way. (Clarise and Silvia)
ReplyDeleteI have noticed that in the Truman show everything seems to be in perfect unity and the whole system starts to collapse when the main character starts to go against the flow
ReplyDeleteStaged Fear - The Government in F451 to make the people believe that they needed them. The death of Truman's father to make him afraid of the water so he couldn't leave.
